do you have our kite?

Postby BrandondelPozo » Tue May 25, 2010 11:53 pm

About two weeks ago, my son and I were flying our rainbow-colored kite in Mayor's Park and a run-in with someone's Spongebob kite cut it loose. We know it went down north of Main Street and east of Garden. If you found a rainbow-colored kite in your yard (or on your roof, or in a tree, etc.), please let us know; it has sentimental value. Thanks! -brandondelpozo@gmail.com

Brandon: I believe that your kite sailed to our house... in Decatur, GA. Please come pick it up. --Dan

A concerned citizen of Philipstown found my kite the day it fell and responded to my post here a few days after I put it up. It was the first, official, wholly positive interaction here on the board. We were really happy about it.

We also got other emails about other kites. Apparently there are a lot of orphan kites out there. It got me thinking about a side career as a kite broker. Thanks to everyone for their replies!

And Dan, I know your hopes sailed on the winds from our village to Decatur, but as it turns out they didn't take our kite with it.
