The Highlands Chain is a volunteer-run site. And you can be one of the volunteers! Here are some of the ways you can help out:

• Post something. The site is all about discussion. Ask a question. Answer a question. Give an opinion. Sell or give something away.
  
• Share your music. Our community is filled with talented musicians. Contribute a song to our Music forum, or post your performance schedule.
  
• Become a calendar editor. We pipe in lots of events from local organizations. But we're missing lots. Help us out by maintaining a Google Calendar. We've thought about calendars for music, schools, board meetings.
  
• Post photos or movies. People don't read anymore. I read that someplace. Use the [youtube] tag to embed your movies, and post your photos to our gallery.
  
• Suggest improvements. We aren't the first forum of this type. Not even for the area. We proudly consider the Philipstown Current and Beacon Citizen Network to our inspirations. What can we do better?

I would love to see a schedule of Cablevision’s channel 22 public access meeting broadcasts. I know the Haldane School board meetings are supposed to be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 pm, but I am not sure about the rest. Thanks! —julia
