Hi Dar,
I've never found anyone willing to even sell them to me. I always leave my clippings right on the lawn. Maybe they do too. I wanted to use them in my composter. They are rather high in nitrogen and could get hot if used directly as mulch. How about using chopped dry leaves instead? I gather them by reversing my leaf blower in the autumn, and have even cleared old piles of leaves later in the year.
A reversing leaf blower is a good thing. Mine also has a bag attachment that allows the leaves to be chopped and blown directly into a plastic garbage can (lined with a black plastic bag). Noisy but good. Home Depot.
Also at Home Depot this summer was a plastic tumbling composter at the remarkable price of $99. Others I've lusted after were more than twice that price. They call it a "compost mixer". It's really speeded the process up for me. I'll be happy to give you chicken manure and straw.
See you at the market!
