Based on my understanding of the SEQRA process, Town of Fishkill Planning Board is not the only group/office that "OKs" this Notice of Intent to be Lead Agency.

Until June 24th, the DEC and other permitting bodies have the right to OK or object.

Until that the date, it is possible that the DEC will intercede to provide more reliable compliance oversight and project management of the Highland Valley Development.

Therefore, we should continue our letter-writing and political (lower-case p) pressure/attention, reminding the DEC (directly and through media outlets) that the water supply at risk is regional - not exclusive to Fishkill - and therefore MUST benefit from the DEC's impartial oversight (lest it be subject to the discretion and management of people with clear conflicts of interest).

Keep writing to the DEC and to media outlets about the vulnerability of this regional water supply!
